The PADI Basic Mermaid Instructor Course can help you to learn mermaid diving and teaching skills, is the first step that learn to be a mermaid instructor and educator.
Prerequisites:
- 18 years of age or older
- Holding a PADI Advanced Mermaid Certification (or have a equivalent certification from another training organization)
- Holding a valid( within 12 months ) PADI Divers Medical Statement
- Holding a valid( within 24 months ) EFR First Aid Primary Care and Secondary Care Certification (or have a equivalent certification from another training organization)
Equipment:
- Swimwear
- Mask and Snorkel for Freediving (suggestion: for personal hygiene reason, It is recommended to bring your own )
- Mermaid wears (free rent in course, suggestion: you can bring your own mermaid costume and tail)
- Mer-fins (free rent in course, suggestion: you can bring your own Mer-fins)
Graduation requirements:
- 5 skills assessment

Ability to swim 400m without swim aids

Ability to float comfortably at the surface for at least 10 mins

Ability to swim 800m, using mask, fins and snorkel, unlimited time

Towing a mermaid diver 100m with Mer-fins

Towing a unconscious mermaid diver 50m with Mer-fins
- 7 mermaid skills performance
- Assist Mermaid Instructor in one time Discover Mermaid Experience and two times Basic Mermaid / Mermaid Course
* PADI Basic Mermaid Instructor Certification will be certified after passing all the graduation requirements
After the course：
